The Gambia has an ongoing food crisis due to the unusually light seasonal rainfalls. Farmers in rural areas simply cannot grow enough food to provide for their families and communities, resulting in skyrocketing food prices. The people in the Gambia are in dire need and many people in the region need help

According to the UN the number of people affected by hunger globally rose to as many as 828 million in 2021, an increase of about 46 million since 2020 and 150 million since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Qurbani

MAUSA and a partner organization have carried out the Qurbani 2018 program and distributed meat as charity food to  impoverished and needy Muslim families

Feed The Fasting

Our Feed the Fasting program allows donors to send food packages to families suffering throughout the month of Ramadan. Oftentimes, these families don’t have enough food to even start or break their fast.
